Started by two tech wizards — Ben and Jarrod — 802 Group was born from a shared love of clever solutions, clean data, and never accepting "that'll do" as an answer.
Meet Ben
Tech whisperer by trade, infrastructure wrangler by necessity, and part-time phrase fixer-upper. By day, he’s deep in the guts of Node-RED flows, Cisco configs, solar power systems, and LoRaWAN deployments — turning chaos into clean data and dodgy networks into uptime legends.
By night? He’s refining emails, optimising VLAN setups, and building secure tunnels between places that should never have been connected — but now are.
He’s got the brains of a sysadmin, the vibe of an engineer on a mission, and the clarity to cut through technical fog with confidence. When he’s not automating alerts for temperature spikes or tracing MAC addresses, he’s planning the next network migration — with a spreadsheet, of course.
Ben’s world is one of rack units, signal strength, real-time alerts, and batteries that better last through the night. If it’s got an IP address, he’ll make it talk — securely, efficiently, and probably with a backup power supply.
Meet Jarrod
Data wrangler by instinct, dashboard guru by reputation, and part-time training ninja. Jarrod spends his days deep in Hexagon setups, Power BI dashboards, and construction data pipelines — transforming sprawling spreadsheets and field data into crystal-clear project insights.
Whether it's configuring systems from scratch, managing licences, or helping teams find that one missing ITR, he's got it covered — usually before you even know it's a problem.
With the analytical precision of a business strategist, the calm of a project lead, and just enough cheek to make training sessions actually fun. When he’s not building certificate workflows or debugging sync issues, he’s crafting reports that do more than just tick boxes — they tell the story.
Jarrod’s toolkit runs on clean interfaces, synced schedules, and data that behaves itself. If it’s got a dashboard, he’ll visualise it. If it’s got structure, he’ll optimise it — and yes, it’ll be on brand.
